Ediscovery Review

We use both industry standard tools & custom softwareof our own design to quickly and accurately conduct a review of collected and processed ESI

eDiscovery Review Services

Ultimately, the review stage of the e-discovery process is the responsibility of legal counsel; at Gillware Electronic Discovery, though, we assist however we can, performing technology-assisted review (TAR) of the collected and processed electronically stored information (ESI).

The goal of the e-discovery identification stage is to determine the scope, depth, and breadth of the ESI investigation. In this stage, e-discovery investigators figure out how much ESI is relevant and which form the relevant ESI takes, determine how it should be collected and preserved, and take steps toward inventorying the relevant ESI.

This is where e-discovery consultants will assist your legal team in developing a strategy based on the collected data and deciding how the ESI collected by our e-discovery consultants will be produced.

  • File Coding and Tagging
  • Technology Assisted Review
  • Forensically Sound and Secure Data Storage and Hosting
  • Review Process Reporting

During this stage, the collected and processed ESI is curated.

We aim to make the e-discovery review process as quick as possible, maintaining both accuracy & defensibility

In the review stage of the EDRM, the bounty of information identified, collected, and processed in the earlier stages start to paint a clearer and clearer picture of the factual issues in a case. This is where e-discovery consultants will assist your legal team in developing a strategy based on the collected data and deciding how the ESI collected by our e-discovery consultants will be produced.

Developing a Review Strategy

Portions of the review stage of the EDRM occur early on in the e-discovery process. Developing a review strategy is typically done during the Meet and Confer consultation carried out in the Identification stage of the process. The e-discovery review strategy lays out which forms of ESI are most important and how they can best be produced.

File Coding and Tagging

Files turned up by e-discovery experts are documented as responsive/relevant and therefore necessary to be produced, or non-responsive/irrelevant and unnecessary to be reproduced. Under the review stage, e-discovery consultants also identify and tag files which are protected under attorney-client privilege, as well as files which contain confidential information and must not be produced. At Gillware, we use a combination of existing e-discovery review tools as well as software designed specifically for your situation to accurately and efficiently tag and redact ESI as needed.

Technology Assisted Review

Technology Assisted Review (TAR) allows the wealth of ESI collected and processed during an e-discovery investigation to be reviewed both quickly and accurately, a necessity in e-discovery consulting. Gillware uses both industry standard TAR tools as well as proprietary, custom review software to efficiently conduct reviews of ESI.

Forensically Sound & Secure Data Storage & Hosting

During the e-discovery process, Gillware stores and hosts the ESI on secure, forensically-sound storage media.

Review Process Reporting

Deciding how the collected and processed ESI should be presented is an important part of e-discovery review. In this stage of the process, decisions will be made over what format the relevant ESI will be produced in.
