Michael Sullivent

Director, Digital Forensics and Incident Response

As a director, Michael Sullivent’s experience as a digital forensic and incident response examiner dates back to January 2004. Since joining the field, he has conducted investigations and analysis associated with theft of proprietary data, unauthorized access of corporate networks, suspected employee wrongdoing, banking fraud, static and dynamic malware analysis and matters related to e-discovery requests. As such, he has conducted case work with organizations such as government intelligence services, Department of Defense, Defense Intelligence Agency, and Federal Bureau of Investigations. Michael has extensive experience coordinating case work first hand with assorted clients as well as attorneys assigned to cases. Michael has worked cases from scoping call to final report. Michael has maintained the following certifications:

  • Certified Computer Examiner (CCE)
  • Tenable Certified Nessus User (TCNU)
  • EnCase Certified Examiner (EnCE)
  • Certified BlackLight Examiner (CBE)
  • Certified Electronic Evidence Collection Specialist (CEECS)
  • Certified Expert Witness (through FBI)

Michael has performed and led forensic and incident response engagements of both the proactive and reactive side. Michael has written incident response plans and conducted table top exercises for fortune 500 companies. He has worked cyber incident cases involving such malware as ransomware, TrickBot and Emotet. The various types of media analyzed include cell phones, servers, workstations, external storage devices, and video tapes.  While at Bank of America and Wal-Mart Inc, Michael assisted the forensic labs in being certified through the American Society of Crime Laboratory Directors (ASCLD) certification  Michael holds a Bachelor of Science degree in criminal justice from the University of Faulkner in Alabama and is retired military.
