This is our way of showing how much we value and enjoy helping our customers retrieve their precious data. We know that each and every crashed drive is a disaster and we take personal pride in helping you get it back.

Each month we pick a winner and give away a $25 gift certificate to an internet retailer.

If Gillware has recovered any photos that are particularly meaningful to you, send us an email with a one-paragraph explanation as to why the photo is important to you and attach the photo. Just send the email to with the subject "Photo Contest" if you'd like to enter! So get that favorite baby picture, pet picture, wedding photo out, it could be worth $25!

I'm a photojournalist and when my 300 GB hard drive crashed I freaked out. It was packed full with 9,924 photos alone -- 13.6 GB -- from 10 years of work. I panicked when I called other data recovery services and found the estimate to be in the thousands of dollars. I decided to go with Gillware to recover my data so I would be certain of an inexpensive repair. All of my photos and 250 GB more of other important data was recovered, including this photo I took in Guatemala and another in India. One of my all time favorite photos, this picture of a young girl on the side of Lake Atitlan cries out to me. She looks so forlorn. The other photo is taken inside an ancient mosque in New Delhi and shows the happiness and pride of a father and his young child. Their interlocked hands, to me, ties the photo and the pair together.
