Every month Gillware gives away a small prize to the best customer-submitted recovered photo with description. This is our way of showing how much we value and enjoy helping our customers retrieve their precious data. We know that each and every crashed drive is a disaster and we take personal pride in helping you get it back.

If Gillware has recovered any photos that are particularly meaningful to you, send us an email with a one-paragraph explanation as to why the photo is important to you and attach the photo. Just send the email to with the subject "Photo Contest" if you'd like to enter! So get that favorite baby picture, pet picture, wedding photo out - you could be the next winner!

Thank you, thank you for recovering my HD. Among the tons of pictures that I have, you recovered my father's memorial pictures from April, our son's graduation from June and our family's summer holiday pictures from August this year. I am not a photographer but have fun playing with my camera. Attached are two pictures I am quite proud of and am extremely happy to have back.

1) I am a bird watcher and we have hummingbirds all summer. They are quite difficult to take pictures of because they move so fast and are so small. This female Ruby Throated Hummingbird kept coming back to our patch of Bee Balm in the garden and with some patience and steady hands, I was lucky to get the picture.

2) My mother bought me these mums. I chose them because they were an interesting color. She thought they were not going to be as nice as your more common mums so I took the picture to show her just how lovely they turned out to be. But after I took the picture on October 7th, we had so much rain that the flowers have never looked the same. They are quite incredible in my opinion.
