Every month Gillware gives away a small prize to the best customer-submitted recovered photo with description. This is our way of showing how much we value and enjoy helping our customers retrieve their precious data. We know that each and every crashed drive is a disaster and we take personal pride in helping you get it back.

If Gillware has recovered any photos that are particularly meaningful to you, send us an email with a one-paragraph explanation as to why the photo is important to you and attach the photo. Just send the email to with the subject "Photo Contest" if you'd like to enter! So get that favorite baby picture, pet picture, wedding photo out - you could be the next winner!

When my computer started "acting up" my husband was quick to back up all of our Quicken financial information but we never thought about all of the family photos we had on the laptop that we had NEVER backed up. There were about 3 years of family pictures that were irreplaceable; my youngster's first steps, birthdays, Christmas morning, vacations... the list goes on and on.

It looked as though my pictures were gone forever due to the high cost of data recovery. Logically, I realized that most pictures are stuffed into a box or album and forgotten about, and at $2000 dollars or more for data recovery I could take my family on a vacation and make new memories.

However, there was one picture I could not stand to lose so I continued to pursue data recovery.

Thanks to my brother, I discovered Gillware, whose recovery costs were more affordable. Gillware was able to recover all of my information and pictures the same day they received the hard drive, even though "clean room" recovery was required.

Enclosed is the treasured picture I could not stand to lose. It is of my son and his Grandpa at their shared birthday party. My father died in February of 2005 making new pictures and memories for us impossible and old memories priceless.
