Every month Gillware gives away a small prize to the best customer-submitted recovered photo with description. This is our way of showing how much we value and enjoy helping our customers retrieve their precious data. We know that each and every crashed drive is a disaster and we take personal pride in helping you get it back.

Each month we pick a winner and give away a $25 gift certificate to an internet retailer.

If Gillware has recovered any photos that are particularly meaningful to you, send us an email with a one-paragraph explanation as to why the photo is important to you and attach the photo. Just send the email to with the subject "Photo Contest" if you'd like to enter! So get that favorite baby picture, pet picture, wedding photo out, it could be worth $25!

Dear Gillware,
I can't thank you enough!!!! I have shed many many many tears after my hard drive crashed. My husband has told me time and time again - back up your data..... Well, I was always too busy with something else. When my hard drive crashed, I had lost 3 years worth of pictures that I had taken. What upset me the most was that I had lost all my pictures that I had taken in China to bring our daughter home. I had lost the only little piece of history that she had. I had taken almost 800 photos of our journey - so that when she is older she can see the country and its people in which she was born. The day that you notified me that you had retrieved my photos was priceless. I can not thank you enough. I have told every one who will listen how awesome you have been. I have attached several pictures from our journey to China.
The first is my daughter at her orphanage with her caregiver. Next is our family in front of our daughters orphanage. The third is a family in a small village in China and the last is my husband with our daughter in a village that is similar to where our daughter was born.
